I am a piano teacher looking for new students to share my music experience with Bored at home during this difficult time With camps pools parks and most team sports off the table picking up some piano skills may seem like a great activity alternative for both kids and adults.Coronavirus restrictions in Virginia are easing somewhat after June 10 and once-a-week in-person lessons that are 1-on-1 carry minimal exposure risk when proper precautions are followed.Studying music is a fun hands-on way to train memory and reflex while also flexing your creative capacity and learning to play an acoustic or digital piano is widely accessible and engaging.I offer in-home sessions at affordable rates and a flexible negotiated schedule.All ages are welcome to start or to continue their musical training.A little bit about myself-My name is Zakhar Zakharevich and I have studied music theory and practice for upwards of 15 years in Russia and the United States with a focus on piano and cello performance.Beginning with a comprehensive music study course in Okhta Music Lycee in St. Petersburg Russia I continued learning under the instruction of Miron Yampolsky (student of Mstislav Rostropovich)after immigrating to the US.In the US I have participated in many performance competitions placing 1st in a number of them.Over the years I have composed a wide selection of music for piano as well as in the electronic medium.A member of the AYP Orchestra I have also done select performances with the WBS Orchestraand even written music for them.I studied composition and piano performance at James Madison University.You may contact me by phone or e-mail (571)-340-6157zakharevichpiano(at)gmail.com
