The car was restored by Healey restoration guru Martin Hveem in Reading California in 2012. Subsequent to the restoration the car won its class at the Hillsborough Concours and it received Gold Level 100M Certification at the national Healey concours. Mr. Hveem s restoration is meticulously documented with copious photos of the entire process from start to finish. The car comes with its original owner s manual original tools soft top as well as tonneau and side curtains. It is in perfect running condition and is ready today to take home more trophies or gobble up country roads in style. This genuine factory-built Le Mans model is authenticated by the 100M Registry and its Gold Certification by the Austin-Healey Concours Registry. Built on September 9 1955 it is a matching numbers original left-hand drive US-delivery example that received a body-off restoration that was performed to very high standards of correctness and quality over a two-year period by noted restorer Martin Hveem of Red Bluff California. Prior to restoration the car was remarkably complete and retained all of the original factory-installed components that formed the 100M Le Mans package. During the exacting process Mr. Hveem utilized original fasteners for heightened authenticity and both the Healey s engine and gearbox were completely rebuilt in-house as well. The Healey starts and runs well and features all the proper M engine upgrades and exterior features characteristic of the 100M. One of just 640 100M Le Mans cars were produced.
