Must have previous quality control experience in a food production setting. This is not a trainable position.ResponsibilitiesApprove incoming materials by confirming specifications conducting a visual and measurement test and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials Approve in-process production by confirming required specifications conducting visual and measurement tests and communicating the required adjustments to the production supervisor Approve all finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests Return products for re-work if needed and complete documentation to confirm re-work Document and update inspection results by completing reports and logs Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calling for repairs. Maintain safe work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations Verify work order quantities and data bar information meet work order specifications. Routine QA inspections and tests material for defects as required Reworks defects as needed. Communicates quality issues with press operators as they arise. Assembles packing materials. Attaches identifying tags or labels to product as required. Loads and unloads material to and from pallets manually.Submits maintenance requests for repairs as needed. Perform thorough examinations of all materials and finished products Conduct and report internal audits and evaluations Implement and improve quality control operating procedures Identify and troubleshoot equipment problems and defects Participate in routine visual inspections Maintain a clean and safe work environment Qualifications & ExperienceAt least 1 year previous and recent work experience in quality control or other related fields Strong attention to detail Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to lift 50 to 70 lbs Must be able to pass background check and drug test Ability to follow all directions and complete all task in a timely manner .
