How to join CDS

UPSC conducts CDS exam to recruit officers for Indian Army Indian Air Force and Indian Navy twice every year. CDS Educational Qualification is Graduation from any stream. There are no percentage criteria to apply for CDS exam. But as CDS Exam is for recruitment as officer in Indian Army Indian Air Force and Indian Navy the CDS Educational Qualification is different for different academy s that is IMA AFA INA and OTA. CDS Educational Qualification for Indian Air Force Academy and Officer s Training Academy Graduation from any stream CDS Educational Qualification for Air Force Academy Graduate from any stream but must have studied Mathematics and Physics at 10 2 level CDS Educational Qualification for Indian Naval Academy Engineering Students studying in final year of graduation are also eligible to appear in CDS Exam. Once you clear the CDS written Exam you are called for SSB Interview. SSB Interview is a 5 days process where they test your Personality and Psychology. After clearing the SSB Interview and Medical Examination you go through 1 year training and then join Indian Armed Forces as a Commissioned Officer.
