Looking for a friend

I can t say that I m terribly optimistic about this but here goes nothing. In the interest of full disclosure I m a married white male in my 30s. I have a professional career and a life that keeps me busy with my fair share of responsibilities. I m very friendly and personable but I tend to be somewhat guarded in completely opening up to people. I consider myself to be somewhat of an introvert friendly but perhaps slightly withdrawn in large social settings. For those reasons I don t really have any close friends and certainly none that I am able to share anything and everything with. I am extremely loyal level-headed zero drama and not entirely certain as to what I m looking for. I don t suppose gender is really all that important but I tend to click with women more easily than men. I d love to have someone that I can confide in and just talk about anything that comes to mind. I prefer substantive conversation so I gravitate towards e-mail over text. I simply want to build a trusting relationship and allow it to progress however is natural and comfortable for everyone involved. I m not looking to hang out with someone immediately or to dive right into a bunch of intimate details of my life...all in due time. If we only e-mail and nothing more that could be great. If we e-mail talk and eventually hang out like normal friends tend to do then that could be great as well. I m looking for someone who is similar to me in a number of ways...no-drama no smokers no drug users someone who cares about their appearance easy to talk to and easy to listen to. Age is fairly important to a certain extent simply because I believe that there should be some commonalities that are difficult to find outside of certain generations ages. I would prefer someone around my age or younger...so I ll say between 18-40-ish.
