Marilyn Monroe Framed and Enlarged Photographic Art. It s measurements are 38 X 26 which includes the frame.The actual size of the image is 34 Long X 22.5 Wide. Bernard of Hollywood is inscribed on the bottom right corner with a decal on the lower back side showing a production date of 3-19- 13. This is one of the classic photos circa 1954 taken by famed German born photographer and close Marilyn friend Bruno Bernard (more info see below ). As you can see from the photos (others on request) it has a few cosmetic issues when viewed up close. At 5 or 6 feet back these are almost unnoticeable. It can possibly be cleaned off with the possible exception of the very fine scratch marks. The white you see on it was my attempt at using a soft white paper towel to wipe it this should come off. The frame itself has two corners(looking from above) in which some of the black finish is off but this is not visible when wall mounted or looking straight on.If you have any questions please feel free to let me know. His legendary studio on Sunset Boulevard was a Hollywood landmark for decades. He branched out to his desert oasis at The Palm Springs Racquet Club the exclusive hideaway for the stars and the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas where he ran a glamorous penthouse salon photographing headliners and the most gorgeous showgirls. No one knew the name Bernard but they all knew Hollywood . . . Bernard stated and hence was created the trademark signature Bernard of Hollywood that for decades visually insured the image of glamour.In 1999 The New York Museum of Modern Art chose Bernard s memorable photographs of Monroe as the symbol of the 20th Century for the Fame After Photography exhibition. He was posthumously given a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and the Historical Society. The New York International Center of Photography honored Bernard of Hollywood in their television documentary Twenty Unforgettable Photos.
