Let scripture explain scripture

I ll supply an example (someone tries to explain the unpardonable sin on the following website) (I m not trying to judge anyone just using this as an example. God is our one and only judge) www.gotquestions.org unpardonable-sin.html (In one paragraph they describe it as the only unpardonable sin today [continued unbelief]. There will be no unbelievers in heaven this is true read Revelation 21 8 [this verse also tells you the fearful abominable murderers etc. will not be in heaven. But they are all forgivable]. In the last paragraph of this man s explanation they say any sin is forgivable [by the way this includes unbelief that is not continued] if you truly repent. So which is it Pardonable or not Confusing Somewhat It is pardonable if one repents. Let the Bible explain what is not forgivable not a man. All of us have sinned and many were unbelievers at one time We chose not to continue in unbelief a good choice. Matthew 12 31-32 Mark 13 9-11 Luke 12 10-12 and Luke 21 12-19 these scriptures tell you exactly everything about the unpardonable sin. The who what when why and where is spelled out. Do you believe explanations in scripture or a man s explanation All scripture is inspired by God See 2 Timothy 3 16. Scripture interprets Scripture and we learn the meaning of Scripture by studying its parts and by studying its parts we learn the whole (we connect the dots so to speak). You need the box-top and the puzzle-pieces to get the complete picture. You put the puzzle together one piece at a time diligently and with patience. What could be some of the causes of so much misunderstanding of scripture Some of the reasons may overlap. 1. Biblical illiteracy is the first not reading and studying the whole Bible partial readers only don t have the whole picture too many pieces of the puzzle are missing we don t connect the dots reading and comprehension skills may be lacking. (Amos 8 11) 2. Bad memory Some folks don t verify their own memory or others concerning scripture they pass on bad info about the Bible they may not really care enough to look for truth that even may be due to being lazy. 3. Relying on the wrong interpreters false teachers (Matthew 15 9) good interpreters let scripture interpret scripture. 4. Traditional reasons relying on those traditions (My Mother or my Grandpa told me so and so) etc. Unwilling to change and forget those traditions and discover the truth in God s word for themselves. 5. Willful deceit choosing not to believe and purposely misleading others. See Psalm 119 160. God does not contradict Himself. Study your Bibles completely cover to cover connect the dots and get the whole picture.
