This is what I choose to believe. We are commanded to rebuke A rebuke serves what purpose Proverbs 27 5 Open rebuke is better than secret love. Matthew 7 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. (Their actions speak louder than their words this is how you tell if someone may need a little rebuking correcting shown the error of their current ways it is called tough love. Who knows you might save a soul). Matthew 18 15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone if he shall hear thee thou hast gained thy brother.(Try it this way first. Why do it Again it might save a soul we gain a brother in Christ).Matthew 18 16 But if he will not hear thee then take with thee one or two more that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.(Do it this way the second time. Ratchet up the rebuke a little).Matthew 18 17 And if he shall neglect to hear them tell it unto the church but if he neglect to hear the church let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.(Third and final attempt. (What is the old saying You can t judge a book by it s cover. A persons appearance is of no concern to God He looks at the inner man. Can a human look at the inner man No way. God created us all. Do you think He made a mistake in some cases What did He say in Genesis 1 31 It was very good Why would anyone think otherwise We are all in the same boat all have sinned. Is anyone excluded I don t think so). Acts 10 34 (This verse among others says God is not a respecter of persons. In other words He doesn t discriminate a really good example to follow. Don t you think) 1 Timothy 5 20 Them that sin rebuke before all that others also may fear. (One could be saved by rebuking Him but others might be saved as well. How wonderful) Rebuke To chide to reprove to reprehend for a fault to check by reproof. To afflict for correction to silence to heal check or restrain. (Did you see the words judge or discriminate in this definition No you didn t).Discrimination An act or instance of discriminating or of making a distinction. Treatment or consideration of or making a distinction in favor of or against a person or thing based on the group class or category to which that person or thing belongs rather than on individual merit. Rebuking someone is not discrimination it is tough love. We are not judges God is our one and only Judge. What is at stake A soul. One could be saved. Keep studying my friends.
