DANGEROUS SUBSTANCES AND EXPLOSIVE ATMOSPHERES REGULATIONS OR DSEARThe Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR) 2002 is a UK law which came into force on the 9th December 2002 and is a combination of two European Directives 1999 92 EC now known as ATEX 153 directive and 98 24 EC known as CAD the Chemical Agents Directive.DSEAR set minimum requirements for the protection of workers from fire and explosion risks related to dangerous substances and potentially explosive atmospheres. According to DSEAR all sites handling flammable materials capable of forming a potentially explosive atmosphere should have adequate protection against risks from fire explosion and similar events arising from dangerous substances used or present in the workplace. From June 2015 DSEAR also covers the risk caused by gases under pressure and substances that are corrosive to metals.For More Info Visit SigmaHSE
