The one year only features of the 1958 Corvette washboard hood and chrome trunk lid spears make this year very desirable among collectors. With only 9 168 Corvettes originally built in 1958 it is a safe assumption that perhaps 6 000 have survived to today. Of the original 9 168 cars only 1 511 were equipped with fuel injection. This 1958 Corvette is an older restoration that was performed to make this car a good driver. It was not restored to be a NCRS Top Flight car. For example It has an aluminum Be Cool radiator headers an alternator an after market radio after market shifter and wide whitewall radial tires. It is not priced at the level that Top Flight Fuelies are selling at either. This Corvette is a good looking nice running example of a 1958 Fuelie Corvette. The interior looks really good. The white vinyl soft top is in excellent condition. The chrome and emblems all look fantastic. The paint is very nice with a few small imperfections visible upon close inspection. That being some small stress cracks and chips in the paint but the paint still looks very good. The chassis is very solid and rust free. Ths 58 Corvette would be a great addition for the enthusiast who wants to take their C1 Corvette on pleasure drives and or cruise ins.
