Schedule Monday Friday with one evening a weekStatus Full Time (37.5 Hours)NATURE OF SUPERVISION The Staff Social Worker is responsible for conducting substance abuse assessments and evaluations diagnosing substance abuse disorders conducting individual counseling and group facilitation. They will develop treatment plans as well as provided other necessary documentation. The Staff Social Worker will interface with local providers and provide referrals to higher levels of care (inpatient and residential) as needed. The Staff Social Worker will participate in weekly multi-disciplinary team case conferences. This position will provide case management services for 35 clients including those with co-occurring disorders. QUALIFICATIONS Master s degree in Social Work from a program approved by NYS Education Department is required with a NYSED professional license as a LMSW or LCSW. Experience in working within a multidisciplinary team and a working knowledge and understanding substance abuse and mental health diagnoses preferred. Must meet the requirements of the School Age Care Day Care and or Mental Health Regulations regarding a State Central Register Clearance regarding history of abuse maltreatment of children.
