Position Title Project Control SpecialistPlease apply online www.advancia.com careersLocation Falls Church VA Position SummaryAdvancia Aeronautics is seeking a qualified Project Control Specialist who will develop and maintain an Integrated Master Project Plan (IMPP) and Integrated Master Project Schedule (IMPS) for projects assigned. The IMPP must contain Gantt charts Work Breakdown Structure a critical path diagram and critical path analysis. The Master Scheduler will develop schedule strategy for building an Integrate Master Project Schedule (IMPS) and able to monitor and control an IMPS through the lifecycle communicate status of IMPS to various levels of stakeholders. The Master Scheduler collaborates with team members multi-tasks and adapts to change. Experience with taking customer requirements and developing schedules that match the requirements --- excellent communications skills. Responsible for the development maintenance and integration of program plans and schedules to meet customer objectives. The employee shall architect prepare and develop a compliant IMPP and IMPS which accurately and comprehensively validates the contractual scope flow and resources required to execute and meet all program strategic objectives for the duration of the program. The employee will oversee key performance indicators (KPIs) and other measures of performance tracking and reporting while providing status of the various projects. This individual must be able to work with the technical community operations community and program management to translate authorized customer requirements into the performance measurement baseline. In addition the Master Scheduler interfaces with program management senior management and the contractual customer as the program s planning integrator.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesDevelop manage maintain and provide the status for the IMPS for all projects Develop schedules that include project phasing project milestones and represent critical relationships between program tasks as required to plan coordinate and visualize all significant program activities Develop Network Diagrams to identify available Slack Float Preparation of presentable Gantt PERT and resource utilization charts to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas Analyze trends develop reports facilitate communication and provide feedback on program performance Identify and resolve critical path and network logic conflicts Support the Program Project Manager(s) in the creation of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and lead in the development of schedules (including resource loading) for identified WBS elements Works with management team to ensure the schedule program plan is executable (cost schedule and technical requirements are fully integrated) and executing as planned Apply Critical Path Methodology in schedule network development and analysis and report results to Project Team Provide weekly monthly project status updates including KPIs as appropriate Perform Risk Analysis and Risk Planning on the schedule Advises management of risks that may affect project profit costs and schedules Work with Project Team to develop Recovery Plans Configuration Management duties related to maintaining program project IMPS data Provide schedule related guidance during program level exercises such as Rolling Waves Internal Re-plans etc. Interacts across a variety of program functional organizations such as engineering procurement contracts business management and production Assembles and compiles schedule data and inputs same into the project schedule and provides output to the Program Manager Must understand the various contract types i.e. cost plus T& M FFP etc. and ensure that all requirements of the project are understood Support communicate reinforce and defend the mission values and culture of GCC and the VA WMC organization Develop schedules that include project phasing project milestones and represent critical relationships between program tasks as required to plan coordinate and visualize all significant program activities Analyze trends develop reports facilitate communication and provide feedback on program performance Education & Experience RequirementsEDUCATION Bachelor s Degree required from an accredited college or university Master s Degree PreferredEXPERIENCE Understanding of standard operating systems and personal computer applications General knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Change Management practices Knowledge of GFEBS Functionalities include Financial Accounting (FI) Spending Chain (SC) Fund Management (FM) Sales and Distribution (SD) Accounts Receivable (AR) Reimbursable Accounting (RA) Controlling (CO) Human Resources (HR) Plant Property & Equipment (PP& E) and Business Intelligence (BI) Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Project Ability to think critically problem solving adaptability to dynamic client environment strong verbal and written communications (confidence in presenting to senior executive and large groups of people) Knowledge Skill and Ability in developing meeting minutes meeting summaries scheduling logistics SharePoint management etc. is required Knowledge of Military Health System Travel may be required U.S. citizenship required.
