This ad is seeking a skilled snow plow operator. This is a job that requires a strong work ethic and reliability. It can and will have long shifts. I offer many perks to my employees.I am an owner operator of a mid-sized landscape and snow removal company. I am located in the North Hills area. Job description and tasks Operate a new F250 pick up plow truck for plowing small - large parking lots. Each truck is equipped with a Western Wideout plow and a SHPE 2000PRO salter. Shifts can be 4 - 20 hours long. A shift can start at anytime day or night.A snow shoveler will accompany the plow driver on accumulation snowfall shifts. Each location has sidewalks though not much.You will also be responsible for shoveling when needed.I have a yard that I self load salt. You will need to be able to safely operate a skid steer. Experience is best but I can quickly train an intelligent person.You will be responsible for keeping the truck clean both inside and out.I can and will train you to be the most safe and efficient plow driver. All locations will be gone over thoroughly. You will be completely prepared and confident before snow gets here. Many locations are small lots with heavy foot traffic. Awareness and feel is needed.You MUST Be available 24 7. 100% on call and will work every time you are needed. A heads-up will be given as early as possible. At times 8 hours others 30 minutes.Have at least 1 year of plowing experience. Experience is valued but skill level is what counts. I ll only hire a person that is a high quality in plowing ability and safety.Be drug alcohol free. If you are an addict this is not a job for you. Good luck to you though.Physically fit. You will have to pick up 50 lb bags of ice melt and shovel at times heavy snow. The long shifts and cold weather taxes the body stamina is important.Reliable. I need a person that stands behind their handshake and will do what they say every time. You must be at work every time weather is hitting us the only exception is a family medical emergency.Intelligent. This job required fast thinking and knowledge of bad weather driving. Knowing how to drive a loaded truck in the snow is a must.Sleep. Sleep is very important. Part of the job is to get your needed sleep. This sounds obvious but most do not understand this.Mechanic ability is a bonus. The pay rate is based on skill level and performance. This rewards the skilled operators that deserve higher wage. A candidate may start at a rate which will increase over storms. The goal for me is to pay all drivers 25 hr by the end of winter. That means you preformed an excellent job.Depending on your location a driver may keep the truck at their home. This ensures safe transportation to and from work for the driver and speed to get to a site. A gas card is provided for all work related expenses. Routes are tight to a specific area.I guarantee my workers to be paid a full 40 hours regardless of hours worked that week. A steady paycheck for you and a true 24 7 reliability for me.
