Estate Sale of more than 2 000 VHS Tapes Description of Tapes Tapes are all professionally pre-recorded -- all with full labeling on cassettes almost all with artwork on slipcases boxes. Tapes are mostly classic movies from the 1930s through the 1990s. All genres -- Drama Film Noir War Crime Detective Westerns Musicals Science Fiction Horror (mostly releases from major studios -- not obscure low-budget films) Comedies Documentaries Children s films (many Disney releases no Black Diamond). Many tapes of films that were released in the 1980s and 1990s (some not yet released on DVD). I know many collectors are looking for the obscure needle-in-a-haystack rarities often listed on the Internet. I gave this collection a quick overview and did not see any (but I will admit that it was a quick observation so I might have missed something). So I think that the chances are slim that you will find a diamond in the rough. Most tapes have been opened. Also a large number of tapes of TV shows (NOT home-recorded) -- many from CBS MTM studios and or Columbia House. Most of these are in sets of specific TV series and will be sold ONLY in complete lots of the entire batch acquired by the collector.
