Closes Open Until FilledCommunity Action of Southern Kentucky is seeking an experienced Finance Director to manage the financial operations of the agency. The Finance Director reports to the Executive Director and will be an integral part of the management team. The Finance Director will be responsible for the fiscal leadership of the finance department and supervise all accounting functions of the department including all fiscal reports required by the executive and program staff Board of Directors and Federal state and local government funding agencies foundations and other private donors. The successful candidate must possess a complete understanding of GASB and GAAP standards of governmental accounting and knowledge and experience with governmental audit standards is required. Candidate must have a working knowledge of accounting system software and experience with the Abila accounting reporting software is a plus. The Finance Director will work with all agency program directors and executive staff to assist with program budgets fiscal reporting planning and compliance. Responsibilities include working with the executive staff and the Board of Directors Executive and Finance Committees on all fiscal details. Budget discipline and cost containment are required. Qualifications The successful candidate must have a Bachelor s Degree in Accounting or Finance with a Master s Degree in the same disciplines desired. The CPA credential is a plus. The position requires 3-5 years experience in a non-profit or governmental organization or direct experience with these organizational types. Leadership or supervisory experience is desired for this position. A combination of education experience and training that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities will be considered for the position. Salary Salary is based on education and experience and is competitive for a non-profit organization.
