Transit Maintenance Technician

Closes Open Until FilledFull-time position available with our Transportation Services in Warren County. The purpose of the position is to perform various light maintenance duties on Community Action s Transportation Department vehicles and facilities and to facilitate work through multiple vendors while adhering to the purpose and mission of Community Action of Southern Kentucky Inc. This position also serves as a backup driver and is designated a safety sensitive position. Qualifications Must be at least age 23 have a valid driver s license be able to pass a DOT physical. In addition any combination equivalent to high school diploma GED certificate or demonstrated progress toward obtaining a FED as required by agency policy one year experience in the operation of a motor vehicle hold or ability to obtain in six months a CDL Class C license with passenger endorsement. Must have thorough knowledge of driving safety traffic laws and regulations working knowledge of mechanical repair work have excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills and ability to perform computer vehicle diagnostics utilizing appropriate software as well as basic computer skills.
