SIGN SIGN SIGN We are growing and are looking to add a creative detail-oriented SIGN graphic designer Production associate to our team of SIGN professionals in Frederick MD. Position will be involved with ALL ASPECT of the SIGN business including design printing and physical production.Must be EXPERIENCED detail-oriented and hard-working with a Mastery of Adobe Illustrator and Flexi-Sign.Essential Duties Move raw materials sheets and roll goods for manufacturing Mask weed and apply vinyl to various substrates. Print mount trim and finish various digital graphics and signage. Must be able to use an X-Acto knife and ruler efficiently. Properly load and use a pressure Laminator. Load and cut vinyl on a Plotter. Design and create SIGNS (Adobe Illustrator or FlexiSign). Schedules the center s workflow. Load media inks and generate quality prints from digital print equipment (Large format HP latex printer). Works with co-workers and customers with file transfers FTP access photo library options online proofs etc. Prepares comprehensive illustrations sketches layouts and copy for print reproduction according to instructions of client or supervisor. Inspects jobs for accuracy and has them proofed and by Quality Control before sending them to the plotter or printer. Create proofs and send to customers using the online proofing system. Maintains all equipment including computers plotters and printers. Maintains accurate electronic and paper records. Helps unload raw materials and cleans and maintains storage areas Works on different projects simultaneously. Helps in the production area as needed. Loads materials on into printer and or Laminator which may require some heavy lifting. Follows all company policies procedures and business ethics codes. Qualification Must have previous SIGN graphics or construction experience. College Degree or advanced education degree preferred. Must have previous SIGN service experience. Able to effectively and efficiently organize prioritize and manage clients team members and work. Must have previous SIGN or print industry experience. Strong PC and Mac skills and internet publishing software and sign production software skills. Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Proficiency with vector graphics and being able to efficiently create manipulate original and client provided AI EPS files is a must. Ability to work independently and under pressure. Self-disciplined excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and production schedules.
