DOB is April 2015.Left eye Patches had a severe eye infection when she was pulled from a high kill shelter and was taken to the Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center in Levittown for evaluation. The ophthalmologist at VSEC determined that she had a severe corneal ulcer which had ruptured. She performed a procedure where the third eyelid was stitched over her left eye temporarily to help it heal. When the stitch was removed it showed that the procedure saved her eye AND her vision She has minor scarring to the cornea and her 3rd eyelid is slightly bent but it does not bother her at all While her left eye still looks a little different than her right it does not stop her from running jumping and playing and thankfully she still has vision in that eye.
