Porkchop is a friendly boy who was surrendered to the shelter by his owner who can no longer care for him. Porkchop is about a year old and weighs almost 42 pounds. We were told he is housetrained and good with children. He is easy for us to touch handle and pet and he is eager to please. He walks on a leash and knows sit He has been known to escape from his previous yard so make sure you have a high and secure yard and stay in the yard with him. We were told Porkchop does not like cats. The Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter adoption fee is 67. The adoption fee includes vaccinations mandatory spay neuter heartworm test and microchip.
