Huggins 0548 - Male Golden Retriever

Huggins Male 2.5 years old GRRALL 0548 Update from NTGD 9-22-2016 Huggins is one of our current dogs in our program. He came to us in August from the Tyler shelter severely emaciated riddled with infections of the skin and ears and anemic. He has been under the care of our vet since August trying to get him healthy again. We just got word last week that our vet was finally able to get his anemia under control. However he is under-socialized and fearful. Huggins will be working with our dog behaviorist and will go into foster care when i t is determined he is ready. To date we have spent 1 486 getting Huggins healthy and on the path to be adoption-ready. This number is a moving target because Huggins is still in our care and we are not sure how long it will be before he s deemed adoptable. Huggins need some hugs This gorgeous boy was just rescued from a local shelter caring staff who reached out to GRRALL to help save his life. In such a short time on this earth Huggins ended up a stray emaciated fleas ear infections and no surprise heartworm positive. What is surprising is his attitude and demeanor he is a happy loving and grateful boy and knows the worst is behind him. It often takes so little time for a dog like Huggins to fully cover from such neglect and with the continued support of our foster families volunteers and donors we know Huggins will make some lucky adopter an incredible forever companion.
