Liberty - Female German Shepherd Dog

If you re interested in adopting any SGSR dog please read about our Adoption Process and fill out an Adoption Application. Visit our website for more information including Frequently Asked Questions. Hi my name is Liberty but everyone calls me Libbey I m kind of a special gal and need someone to see my potential. I m five years old but was adopted out from SGSR as a pup. I was recently returned because I developed some behavioral issues. Truth of the matter is that I m super insecure and haven t been guided properly to navigate stressful situations. Since arriving at my foster home I ve been on a strict schedule and am slowly working through this crazy thing called life. I can be trusted to free roam in the house since I am housebroken although I m not a fan of being crated. My foster mom says I m the sweetest girl ever and that I get along with cats and dogs with proper introductions. I even started engaging in some play with another SGSR dog Fritz. I think I would do best in a home with older children since the younger ones stress me out sometimes. With my new schedule I am required to complete 30 minutes of obedience training a day. So far I know sit down and come. I will need to continue my training in my new home as training is giving me some confidence. Overall I m a fun size shepherd that is looking for a patient family to call my own. Think yours might be the one Please work with your adoption coordinator. I am being fostered outside of Jacksonville NC. Liberty is a darling petite loveable one and a half year old black and tan female. She has the cutest little white speck on the top of her head. Besides a little sneezing she is the happiest most well adjusted dog you will ever meet. She loves meeting all different people and dogs and giving out an abundance of kisses She s playful and pops up like popcorn when she s ready to wrestle with a friend or two Liberty loves children of all ages and recently spent an hour playing with her new adoptive little sister. Her new one and a half year old sister had her arm around Liberty s neck walking her around the yard and she enjoyed every minute of it Liberty loves exploring the world on walks or in the car. She s happy to be where ever her new family is or is going Lady Liberty is a breeze at the vets and enjoys all the attention at the local pet stores. At her last vet appointment she weighed in at 55lbs which is up from 47 lbs when she was first fostered a week ago. This little girl has so much love to give and cannot wait to spend the rest of her playful life with the right family Our adoption process consists of a telephone interview a call to your veterinarian and a home visit.
