RAVEN - Female Yorkie Yorkshire Terrier

Raven is a 7 year old Yorkshire Terrier. She has been loved and well cared for all of her life. When her original owner became ill another family adopted her. The new family loved her but found that adding a busy active dog to a busy active family was more than they could manage. Mutts Matter heard about the situation and took her into foster care. We are still getting to know her but this is what her foster mom has to day about her so far Raven is a little shy when first meeting new people but once she s comfortable she is very cuddly. She likes to sleep under the covers at night. If you re sitting on the couch she jumps up and cuddles up next to you. She gives the tiniest softest little kisses ever. She occasionally tries to talk as she looks me in the eye and makes little squeaky sounds. Her previous owner had bought her an extensive wardrobe of jackets and sweaters and she LOVES to get dressed up. She started wagging her tail when I got out her pink sweater and stood patiently to let me put it on her. Since she s an adult she doesn t chew on furniture or shoes though she loves her kibble and will sit nicely for a treat. Raven is a purebred Yorkshire Terrier and she is ALL terrier. She burrows under the covers in the bed barks at squirrels in the yard is afraid of the vacuum cleaner and attacks the printer when it starts up. Even though she doesn t actually sit and watch television her ears perk up when she hears a dog and if it s on very long she will bark at it Despite her age she is very playful. She loves to chase balls and carry them around but hasn t brought one back to me yet. I was playing fetch with her and another Yorkie. I had a little ball for him and another one for Raven. She managed to get BOTH balls in her mouth at once and then when I brought out a 3rd one was trying her darnedest to fit all THREE in her mouth Raven is very athletic. We have a baby gate across the kitchen and we leave the dogs in the back of the house during the day. We ve found her in the living room a few times so she is able to jump over the baby gate. She didn t get into any mischief in the front of the house though and was waiting patiently by the door when we came in. She s not completely house trained but is working very hard to get there. In the meantime she does use a wee wee pad indoors. She leave her loose in the house during the day and she has a mid-day dog walker to come over to let her out for a potty break. Raven is well socialized and walks nicely while on a leash. She is friendly with our dogs and with the dogs we encounter on our walks. During a walk around the neighborhood she went right up to greet a couple of 8 year old girls though is a bit shy with new adults we meet.My adoption fee is 350 which covers the cost of routine vetting rabies and distemper parvo vaccinations deworming spay neuter surgery heartworm testing my microchip monthly heartworm prevention monthly flea tick prevention and any transport costs if applicable.
