Loveable Archie was surrendered to us by his previous owner who became too infirm to care for him anymore. She was concerned that Archie was not getting enough attention and exercise. Even though his heart-broken previous owner had Archie since he was a small puppy she felt that a home with younger more energetic people would better suit him. This special spunky purebred Maltese has all the love in the world to share with his new people Archie is 5 years old and at 13 pounds is the perfect weight to sit beside (or on) you He has never been around kids and does not like to be restrained so we recommend he be with a family with kids 16 or over who are dog-savvy and able to respect his needs. He is not very interested in toys at present but when he becomes comfortable in a new home it will be fun for the whole family to teach him how to play with them A Small Dog 1 or Family Dog 1 class will help him bond with his new people release some energy and learn all sorts of new things. Archie will also need several walks around the neighborhood each day to meet his exercise needs.While he was here Archie met several dogs of various sizes but he was not interested in them at all. He prefers people but could possibly live with another small well-mannered dog.
