No sense dancing around it Birdie s an old man. He s got an old man look about him and old man problems. But he s not the grumpy kind. He s a good-natured and affable little guy who is just happy to have a comfy place to sit some food in his bowl and someone to pet him. He s been around the block enough to know that if he s got that he s got it all. Birdie is mostly indifferent to that which does not affect him directly. He is living with a cat they ignore each other. He is also living with a female dog and this suits him fine. It has been said he gets cantankerous with other males but we have not witnessed this ourselves yet. He could not be less interested in toys but he does like walks. Walks bring out the pup in him. He ll also get excited to see you when you come home. You the bringer of food and giver of pets. Birdie knows what s up. The best home for Birdie would be one where he is not left cooped up in the house all day as he cannot hold his pees like he used to. He d probably prefer a quieter house where no one is going to mess with him. He does love to cuddle he just prefers it on his terms. Otherwise he s pretty down to hang out wherever. It should be noted that Birdie is a bit of a scavenger. If you leave him alone with the gorgeous souffle you spent all morning cooking for your sweetie you are bound for disappointment. All trash and edibles need to be secured when Birdie s in the house. Birdie may not be as bright eyed and bushy tailed as some of the other dogs at APA but he s a sweetheart in his own way.
