Administrative Assistant -Logging Safety - Job ID 2065 Position Overview We are seeking an Administrative Assistant for an on-going Administrative Support position. This individual will be an energetic positive and an all rounder with the ability to think quickly on their feet comfortable in both administrative and accounting functionalities. Having a Logging Industry background as well as Safety Certification are important to this role for this industry specific position. This is a role for a well-rounded individual and requires the successful applicant to have a valid class 5 drivers license. You should also be comfortable with computers and a variety of software applications. Prior experience of working on ANY ONE of the following would be a definite asset Block Costing Loggers Edge SuziLoggers. This position is anticipated to be 5 days per week and up to 8 hours per day. Your flexibility for hours that you are available to work would be an asset as well. Responsibilities Administrative Functions will include Reception Duties -- phone mail courier Collection & Distribution of purchase orders Entering manual timecards into Virtual Time System Updating of equipment binders Safety Functions will include Completion of safety evaluation at logging sites Monitoring updating safety reporting system Support Functions will include Daily parts pickup run -- locally picking up parts and taking to our shop for mechanics Periodically you may be required to take parts out to the bush Requirements Being an ENERGIZER Bunny a definite asset No less than 3 years relative experience & minimum High School Diploma Must have Valid Class 5 Drivers License. Experience in the Logging Industry an asset. Experience & Certification in Work Safety a definite asset as you will be responsible for completing the safety evaluations at the logging sites monitoring & updating the safety reporting system. Flexibility in working hours. Strong Administrative & Data Entry Skills and full Reception and Administration experience. Full cycle Finance Accounting skills are an asset including Payroll experience as well as strong accuracy with data entry Microsoft Excel & Spreadsheets Detail Oriented & able to work quickly and efficiently independently and in a team environment.
