Diet High quality commercial dove pigeon food in a shallow container at the bottom of the cage. Provide fresh water daily. Fresh veggies esp. leafy greens can be given as well. Millet spray can be given as an occasional treat. We also recommend a calcium supplement.Habitat Because pigeons are ground dwellers they need a wide cage so they can walk around. Make sure that the floor is solid so that their feet do not become sore or caught in the wires. Change soiled paper regularly. Provide perches of various thicknesses and surfaces.Mouth Teeth Nails and beaks are generally maintained with access to wooden perches of various thicknesses.Additional Information Please allow daily time out of the cage for exercise.
