Banjo and another bird along with elderly dogs and a cat were rescued from a neglectful situation by animal control. Their owner had become incapable of caring for herself as well as her animals. Based on the behavior we see with Banjo she is used to having companionship around her. She has whistles and hoots and all kinds of sounds that we are hearing about since she s come into our care. She s probably got words tucked away into her repertoire but she s not telling us yet. Banjo is a little wary of stepping up on an unfamiliar person and she might put them to the test with a quick drop of her head invite a skritch and respond with a nip.
