My name is Izzy. I ran away from home the 4th of July of 2014 looking for adventure. Taking nothing with me but a few fleas and a sparkle in my eye I hit the roads of Aberdeen WA. Still young at only a year old I was naive and thought I could make it on my own. As I traveled the streets that day visiting all of the famous Aberdeen landmarks I knew this was the life for me. I saw the bridge that Kurt Cobain had visited and got a drink near the river and ate a little grass. I visited a local coffee stand where a girl tossed me a couple treat out the window. This was great. The warm sun a cool breeze and treats being tossed out of windows. As the night approached the temperature began to quickly cool and large explosion started going off over my head. First it was just a few but as the night went on they started to increase. I was sure they were after me. This was not at all what I had expected and I needed to quickly run for cover. The streets of Aberdeen were no longer safe. I was lucky enough to find shelter with PAWS of Grays Harbor. They gave me a warm bath and a bed. My bowl was always full of food with warm gravy and people kept walking by and giving me cookies. This was not so bad. I felt much safer here but still have the wanderlust deep inside. I have been here with my foster family living at the ranch for almost 2 years now. I have learned the rules of the house and made friends with the other dogs. Pattie and Doug have been great foster parents but I feel like something is missing. I want my own family. I want to go on great adventures and see new thing. I want to drink out of the hose on hot days. I want to dance in the stream.
