Coal is a very sweet cuddly and lovable kitten that has spent many months with us and in foster. This cat has had symptoms of Feline Idiopathic Cystitis (FIC) Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD). Cats with this problem often have concentrated urine with microscopic blood and crystals. It can cause bladder pain which can cause straining pain or urinating outside the litter box. This condition is manageable and cats with it can live a normal comfortable life although flare-ups may occur during times of stress. A prescription diet may be needed or canned food exclusively may need to be fed. Constant access to fresh water should be provided. A clean litterbox or two should be provided along with plenty of toys to reduce stress.
