Meet adorable shaggy Pepper Pepper is a 20 female Schnauzer terrier mix at least 10 years old and she is mostly blind. A PAWS volunteer rescued her from a Cincinnati shelter who reached out to us because she had been there way too long--since December 2015. How she got to the shelter is a sad story--but at least she was rescued. She was found outside this past winter actually frozen to the ground--the ground had to be thawed in order to extract her. We feel she would do best as an only dog as she fears the foster home s pet dogs and may bark and growl at times when they are near her. She has not snapped at them. If they leave her alone she will not chase or attack--she just does not want other dogs to be near her.She is so happy to be in a loving home. She is very quiet and quickly learning her way around like finding the water bowl. She loves to go on short walks--no marathon walks for her ) We would love to see her go to a quiet home with someone to snuggle with. She will not jump on furniture--she would have to be lifted up and down and carried up and down steps (she can do one or two steps at most without assistance). She is spayed.
