Meet Tofu Tofu is a very special dog to us- we went to animal control and we couldn t help but notice this scruffy old chihuahua who was play jumping in his cage just BEGGING to get out amidst the chaos of other barking dogs. We opened the cage door and this little chubby dog leaps into our arms- literally clear out of his cage into our arms. He immediately relaxes and burrows into us. Only a monster could ve put him back into that cage at that point so out we walked with this happy-as-can-be senior chihuahua. The story gets better... We open the car door and he jumps two feet off the ground into the SUV then hops onto the seat where he squeezes as close as he can next to the nearest person and just chills the whole ride (please see his profile picture). He may actually be one of the most obviously happy dogs to have ever had a freedom ride. He smiles almost all of the time and it melts your heart completely. He just knew that his diva self didn t belong in a cramped cage so he made sure to get himself noticed so he can be taxied to his new home. At his foster home he fits in just swimmingly with the resident Pitties and other Chihuahua. He doesn t mind the cat one bit and slept soundly in his crate all night. He has zero issues with resource guarding and will make an excellent addition to any home who wants a dog who will crown himself their new best friend.
