Updated 9 12 16 Hello I m Miss Jenny. I m a lovely black and tan coonhound mix that s about 65 pounds and a gentle southern belle. I m a quiet easygoing 8-year old lady that enjoys the company of people dogs and even cats I love it when kids (or big people) give me hugs and scratch behind my long silky ears But be warned my ears are super soft and I have big soulful brown eyes that just beg for more love and attention. I ll give you lots of tail wags and even kisses too if you let me. And my lips always have a tiny pucker so I look like I am ready to kiss you (my foster mom just loves that ). I m fully housebroken and super mellow which is probably why I get along so well with everyone in my foster household. I share yummy butcher bones with my foster brother dog and we never fight over them instead we trade he takes mine and I take his. Sometimes we go to the dog park together. I love the car ride the other dogs and the chance to sniff all of the smells (after all I am a hound). My foster house also has a cat but I avoid her because I think she might be trouble. I love kids too because they give me hugs and treats sometimes. I m content to nap while my foster mom is busy during the day. I m happy with a big walk or occasional run outside for exercise with a potty break now and then. In the nice weather my foster mom lets me watch the squirrels and chipmunks from the deck but I never bark at them or the neighbors (that isn t my style). My favorite thing is to be close by my people when they re home and to get ear rubs hugs and belly scratches from them. At night I m happy sleeping in a corner of their room so that when they wake up in the morning I m right there to greet the new day with them (I confess that I snore a little but oh so very very quietly.) I came from the south but since then I have learned so much from my foster family. I know how to sit nicely and walk like a lady on a leash. I even go into my crate without any trouble. I am working on learning more commands. I m such a good girl who just wants to please and sit close by your side. My foster mom says I m an easy dog to take care of because I don t ask for much -- just some food & water a couple of walks each day and lots and lots of love.
