1 yr old Murphy-Rey is in need of a new home because her owner works long hours and is not able to give her the time and attention she deserves. Here is what her owner has to say about her Murphy loves company and being around people. At the same time she hates being alone even for a few minutes. She wouldbe perfect for someone working at home or a big family with a big yard and other dogs to run around and play with.She s a very playful dog and she loves running around with you with kids with other dogs or just by herself in the yard. She s great at playing fetch and loves to play tug-o-war.She loves going on hikes and has no problem walking through the woods over rocks. She knows how to swim but gets in the water on her own terms.Murphy has a very mellow gentle and laid back personality. She can be chill just as much as she is playful. She s a very cooperative dog and listens very well. She s smart and a quick learner and will do anything for a treat. Although she s not thrilled about bath time she s very tolerant of being washed.With some practice she s learned to walk on a leash very well using a Easy Walk harness with almost no pulling...except for the occasional squirrel or rabbit but with a stern no she goes right back her walk. She gets a little distracted by other dogs on walks but again with a stern no will go back to her own walk. She is not bothered or distracted by dogs barking from the house or backyard.She s very gentle about eating food out of your hand. She doesn t beg for food and is not aggressive toward her food or any food in general. She s also very good at catching her food.She likes to eat ice and pretty much anything frozen (blueberries green beans sweet potatoes). She also likes to eat baby carrots peanut butter apple sauce.
