Hunter is an adorable Dachshund blend. When he and his siblings came to our shelter they were very sick with the parvovirus. If left untreated this awful virus will eventually lead to the death of a dog especially a puppy. With the hard work and dedication of our Veterinarian and our clinic staff Hunter and his siblings survived and this little guy is the last to be adopted. He is very afraid of new people and things so taking him home will not be an easy transition. However helping a scared baby like this come out of his shell and become the dog he was meant to be is one of the most rewarding things you will EVER do. He LOVES to play with other dogs so if you have a lonely dog at home bring him or her to meet Hunter Having another dog in the home will help him come out of his shell too. He also adores splashing around in the pond in our dog park so once he feels comfortable with you he will have a BLAST at the beach Hunter has had a hard life so far. He fought for his life against parvo and now he is spending puppyhood homeless behind bars and on concrete floors.
