Meet Ellie Mae Ellie Mae is a beautiful Australian Shepherd Cattle dog mix and weighs just under 45lbs. She is fully housebroken crate trained and loves other dogs Though she hasn t been around very many children she s happy to receive pets and love from any human.If you re looking for a friendly and kissy companion Ellie Mae is your lady She loves to just collapse in your lap and love on her humans. Thunder scares her as it does many pups but she handles it well. Foster Mom puts a thundershirt on her and she stays by her side. Ellie Mae is always looking for something to do so it s important to keep her stimulated with dog toys. While being on her heartworm medication she isn t allowed much exercise but once it s complete a couple long walks and play sessions should do the trick. When Foster Mom is home Ellie Mae just loves to be the center of attention and will nudge her way to make sure she knows that she s there. She s still working on her manners but when left alone she is perfectly content.Cats do not currently reside in Ellie Mae s foster home but we ve been told that she does just fine with them and ignores them. If she ends up going to a home with cats she would need the proper introductions to be sure. When she sees them from a distance she barks at them but she does the same thing with children and dogs and is ultimately fine. Because of her heartworm treatment Ellie Mae hasn t been around a lot of other pups. Her current 4-legged roommate and her get along splendidly And when a roaming neighborhood dog came running into the yard she sniffed him appropriately and just wanted to play. Structured introductions are not necessary and she would be a great dog-park dog Ellie Mae is one of the most loyal pups and just wants to be around her people.
