On the morning on June 26 a bunch of SA GREYS volunteers came to TGP to pick up the last six hounds scheduled to join the SA GREYS family. Racing had ended for good the night before. I was scheduled to move to another track to continue my racing career. However during the last night of racing at TGP I twisted my ankle and couldn t run anymore. As a result I was a surprise addition to the SA GREYS family and the last TGP hound to be so designated. The volunteers decided to name me Fini as in the last one.Turns out I had a broken hock and a broken heel. Dr. Nausley at Briarcrest fixed me up but I ve had to spend the last couple months resting quietly at Lazy Grey. It s a good thing I like napping because that s about all I ve been allowed to do. Yesterday Dr. Nausley said my leg is all better and I can run and play like a normal dog. I m SO excited I don t know what to do first Ms. Wanda says finding foster and forever families should be high on the list. Can I live with you I m a good dog. Everyone says so. Very sweet and cuddly.... Fall is coming. I m better than any blanket. He is small dog tolerant but not cat tolerant.... More Info
