The application is the first step in the adoption process so if you are interested in adopting please fill out the online adoption application first by visiting our website at -.----X.- Guinevere Gwen is a gorgeous 3 year old red smooth mini dachshund with eyes made of chocolate and a perfect hound snout that looks like it s been dipped in chocolate. As a typical sassy female dachshund she has discriminating taste about who she will trust but once you gain that trust (with treats love and attention) she will be your forever friend and you will be her person. Men have to work a little harder to impress this girl but her Foster Daddy soon became her BFF. Gwen was turned into a local shelter with some back trouble and injuries and has made a remarkable recovery. She has amazed everyone and is a walking skipping trotting and running. She loves to play ball and has the skills and reflexes of a hockey goalie with her tennis ball. She happily walks on a leash with her new fancy pink harness and matching pink leash and looks forward to her morning and evening walks in her foster home. She s an active girl who likes to keep busy playing chewing on her Nyla Bone or going for her walks. Gwen seems to be reliably housetrained and does her business on the grass right away when she is let out in the backyard (she has the most adorable squat.) Because she bonds so tightly with her person she would love to sleep in the big bed but will be OK in a crate (first with a few grumbly dachshund barks but settles quickly). She would be happy as an only dog or maybe an easy going male dog whoneeds to be bossed around a little. Gwen is looking for a dachshund experienced home that understands the need for doggie ramps and absolutely no jumping on or off furniture. Sorry no children and no cats for this lady. Guinevere s adoption fee 250 We do not have a kennel or facility to visit all dogs are kept in foster homes until their forever homes are found.Adoption Process Once an approved application is on file we will then set up a home visit.
