Hi guys my name is Harley and can I tell you my story I am 4 years old and I am a Pug mix. I used to live with a family that allowed me to roam free free like the wind but one day my freedom stopped. See I was living in a small town and my owners allowed me to run around which wasn t very good because one horrible day I got hit by a car. But when I got hit by a car a nice Policeman and an Animal Control woman who was going to work found me right away so I got help. So I didn t suffer and a vet helped me with my injuries. But about my injuries I lost my eyes that day. I became blind but that s okay. I adapted really well because I have my nose that leads me. My owners gave me up because they couldn t afford the surgery and I went into a high-kill shelter but I didn t stay long. Remember that Animal Control woman She knew the right people IAR Volunteers She showed my picture and story so they rescued me. I am now living in a really nice foster home who loves me and is taking care of me. I live with some other dogs. I am learning how to live in a pack. I am not food aggressive and I am house trained. I know the layout of the house already. My foster Mom says the word outside and I know how to get to the back door to go do my business. I do need help going down the stairs but I follow my foster Mom s voice and I can tell where she is by her smell and feel for her legs. Maybe I can tell she is a good person because she rescues doggies that good heart. I can walk upstairs. My foster Mom goes up the stairs and calls my name. I follow her voice. I am a real quiet boy that causes no trouble. I like to spend my day in a dog bed near my foster Mom or get this I have a girlfriend here at my foster home. So I snuggle with her. She s another little dog like me but she can see. She s very nice to me. Sometimes she barks at me because I took her bed but I just walk away. I m so mellow or maybe it s just not worth fighting over there s another bed. So now that you know my story do you want to come meet me Don t worry about my blindness I m not. My foster Mom can explain to you how I am adjusted and what obstacles I can face but I am doing really well. I am SO lovable everyone at IAR is in love with me and is rooting for me to get a really good forever home so all you got to do is fill out that adoption application.
