Daisy Rogue was rescued from The Martinez Shelter two years ago she was returned to our care about a month ago. Daisy Rogue was thought to have a sensitive stomach but has since been diagnosed with Megaesophagus a condition that makes it hard or impossible to eat and drink water from a bowl like a normal dog. Her foster mom has come up with a diet that has works with no vomit. She does not allow Daisy Rogue free roam of the water. She gives her a bowl of water to drink like a normal dog three times a day right before she feeds Daisy Rogue. Then she puts Daisy Rogue in the Bailey chair and gives her regular dog food. She grinds the food up then adds water and some coconut milk for calories. Its ends up like thick oatmeal. Daisy Rogue eats the food just fine and does fine in the chair. She is feeding her three times a day now to put weight on her she may be able to go to twice a day after she gains some weight.Daisy Rogue is great with the dogs and cats very sweet and likes to play. Her feeding seems pretty easy if someone adopted her as an inside dog and as an only dog so they don t have to worry about water being left down. That would need to be someone that wants a true companion dog with them at all times.Animal Rescue Recon makes sure that each dog is current on its vaccinations has been or will be spayed or neutered and is microchipped to help keep pets out of the shelters and get them back home where they belong.
