Meet Tia Tia and her sister Tamara were found in an alley near the garbage cans in a closed up Rubbermaid tote. They were scared and covered in some sort of unknown sticky substance. Their fur was in rough shape and they had some skin issues. They were almost feral in nature. Terrified of human touch but craving interaction with other dogs. It has been about three weeks now and Tia has become the brave one She even climbs up on the bed in the morning for a full on kiss attack. Tamara is torn she wants to attention affection but is till fearful of humans. She would rather hide out with the old dogs than be out playing with the energetic young ones She takes a bit longer to warm up to humans. It will take time patience and love to continue building the trust she needs. She is not snippy or barky. Just cowers. Unless you have treats They are both doing well with potty training and being socialized. The girls are still a bit hesitant with new people but treats seem to help They both would do best in a home without small boisterous children. Neither girl would do well as an only dog since they seem to need that balance energy from another companion. A commitment to continued socialization and training is required. But the time and effort if totally worth it Tia s adoption fee is 350 and she is being fostered in southeastern Wisconsin. Because all our Cupids are fostered in private homes an approved application MUST be on file before proceeding with a meet-and-greet. The online application can be found at -X -.----.- adopt-.html. For more information visit -.----.-. Our Thoughts on Visual Breed Identification Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable. For most of our adoptable Cupids we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We think it s most important is to get to know each dog as an individual We then do our best to describe each of our adoptable Cupids based on their personalities in order to determine whether they ll make good companions based on prospective adopters lifestyles. Dog behavior is not exclusive to breed it s a complex mix of nature and nurture.... More Info
