Please contact AnimalsRule (-X(at)-----) for more information about this pet. This little squirt is Pete. We have been calling him Pete the Peg Leg Pirate though and he likes that name better. Little Pete has had a rough start to his life. We initially got him after he was thrown out the window of a moving car in a back alley in San Pedro. A good samaritan saw this event take place and went over to rescue him from the pavement. It was obvious his hind leg was broken. A vet visit confirmed he sustained a femur fracture of his hind left leg however it was an old fracture that had already completely healed. This is an old fracture and our vet believes he sustained this when he was very young maybe 8-12 weeks old. His fracture has since healed and causes him no pain or any problems getting around. He walks like a Peg leg Pirate though hence the name. He runs and plays with no issues and the leg does not bother him at all. We went aheas and has a board certified surgeon look at the leg take xrays and he stated Pete is fine. He walks a little funny but other then that he did not want to amputate the limb as Pete uses it to walk and run. Pete is great with all other dogs plays well with others and if fine with everyone he meets. Pete is in foster care and can be seen at the Animals Rule Saturday adoption event from 11am - 3pm at Creative Pet Supply -305 North Harbor Blvd. San Pedro CA 90731.
