My name is Layla and even though I am only one year old my foster family says I am the calmest most obedient one year old ever. I am also sweet and loving...always having a smile on my face and a lot of kisses for everyone. I am also house trained and I love dogs of all sizes and am very gentle with kids I came to Barkie s Legacy after being hit by a car and breaking my hips in 6 different places A nice vet at Miami Dade Animal Services called the rescue because he knew how sweet I was. The rescue promised to save me and it wasn t long before the doctors stepped in to see why I couldn t stand or walk. Finally Barkie s got me transported to Stuart where I endured a 4 hour surgery to allow me to walk again...there were some scary moments but as soon as got to my foster s home everything settled and I began the healing process. Now I am doing great I am working on gaining my strength back on my hind legs after surgery and look forward to my forever family finding me. Could that be you ... More Info
