Our rescue will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express Saturday August 13th and Sunday August 14th from 12-3pm. All of our dogs are spayed neutered shots current (DHPP Bordetella and Rabies where applicable) dewormed flea and tick treated and microchipped. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted. We do not ship our dogs for any reason. Our adoption fee is 400 for each dog puppy. If it is on a weekend of our adoptions follow us on (at)DPSRescue on Twitter to get real time updates on our adoptions. However we do meet with those who submit an application and are approved just prior to the event (by invitation only) and they are given the first opportunity to adopt. If you are interested in one of our dogs we recommend filling out an application prior to the event to be considered. Applications submitted within 24 hours of the event may not necessarily be reviewed.Wizard is a 5 year old Sheltie-Spaniel mix. He normally has a long thick coat but it has been shaved down for his summer do. He s a fantastic dog. He has the best personality and temperament. He lived in a home since he was 8 weeks old. They recently gave him up when they said that an extended family member who visits developed allergies to him. Sure we re sad for him but we know he will find an amazing home that will love him and appreciate him. He is such a lover boy.Wizard currently lives in a foster home with other dogs big and small. He is confident without being cocky. He is friendly without being in your face. He is happy to go play outside (when it s cool enough) or to chill on the couch. He s a great option for kids. He has always lived with kids. We are happy to consider those homes that have children over the age of 7. Wizard also currently lives with cats in his foster home. He could go to a home that has some feline friends.Wizard is a go to work with Mom or Dad kind of dog. He also has no issue hanging out at home while they work. He could live in an apartment or condo setting. He hasn t proven to be a nuisance barker. This is a well balanced well behaved guy. He certainly likes to eat a bit so his new family will want to keep one eye on his waist line just to make sure he doesn t gain anymore weight.Wizard could be an option for an adult home that has not had a dog before. Not all of our dogs go to each adoption event. We want to make sure if you are interested in a dog that we have the dog at adoptions but that can only happen if you fill out an application ahead of time and are pre-approved. (Generally this must happen prior to the weekend) If you are wanting to submit an application within 24 hours of an event please print off the application and bring with you as well as submitting it.
