Lincoln is an adult neutered male cat age unknown but probably at least 3 years. Lincoln came into the care of the shelter in December 2015 severely underweight at only 6 pounds and sporting very little hair. He was diagnosed with diabetes and went into foster care to work on getting healthy. Lincoln now has an amazing fluffy soft coat and weighs almost 14 pounds. His diabetes though easy to care for is one of the more challenging cases his foster parents have seen and he will require a dedicated family that either has experience with feline diabetes or a willingness to learn the steps necessary to keep Lincoln healthy. He currently gets his blood glucose tested at home (a simple ear poke) insulin shots twice a day and eats a canned prescription diet that seems best at keeping his insulin dose small. For the little bit of extra work put in to care for Lincoln your rewards will be many. Lincoln is handsome and sweet and loves to play very much (with durable toys because Lincoln likes to eat things ). Lincoln is hot and cold with other cats some he loves to play with some he would rather not be around and tells them so. He doesn t appear to be a big fan of the foster kittens or the old cats in his foster home. A playful cat his own age might be a good match or being only cat where he gets all the love food and toys would probably make Lincoln happiest.... More Info
