Owen is a special dog looking for a special adopter Owen is a handsome red and white Cocker Spaniel with a goofy underbite and he is about six years old. He is a smart dog who learns commands and house rules quickly. He is housetrained and gets along well with other dogs. What s so special about Owen Owen has some fear and handling issues. He will seek out attention snuggling up to people he knows or going up to strangers in the dog park to have his head scratched but he does not want to be touched when he is relaxing and not expecting it. Owen s foster has been working with him to desensitize him to touch with the help of a positive reinforcement clicker trainer but whoever adopts Owen will need to continue this work and be prepared to manage his issues long-term. Owen can only be adopted with someone who has a lot of dog experience and is up for the challenge of working with a dog with behavioral issues. Owen cannot live with children.
