ABR has a special place in its collective heart for our older Boxers. They are called Silverhearts and they ve earned special care and consideration from ABR. Marlene is a Silverheart waiting for a loving family to live out her days with. She is around 10 and currently underweight but otherwise healthy. She loves her walks her naps and sunbathing. She s a small lady with a fawn coat and white boots. Most of her days of running and jumping and boxing are behind her and although she is usually calm and quiet she has plenty spunk for an older lady. Like a good momma Marlene will plead with her foster mom to make the younger Boxers in the home calm down when she thinks they play too rough. She gets on fine with the 9 year old skin kid and with the other Boxers as well but cats and small dogs are not welcome in Marlene s world. Marlene is house trained as long as her human gets her outside on time. Even though she is a very good family member it appears she only got attention and affection when she was breeding because she is just now learning basic commands. She is a wonderful lady who is calm and gentle except for that cat and small animal thing. Silverhearts have their own special page so read all about how ABR supports them.
