Dunk is one of the Mountain Home 8 - a group of Jacks relinquished to rescue from a hoarding situation in December 2015. Duncan aka Skippy was one of the oldest surviving dogs in the group - we are estimating him to be 7 years old. The living conditions these dogs came from were deplorable and they were all in poor physical condition. They also ALL have lasting psychological damage. Duncan had to have 18 teeth removed and will need continuing attention to his dental maintenance. Duncan s original rescue name was Skippy because he was a compulsive spinner. Spinning is an OCD behaviour that dogs who have been kenneled for years acquire as a way of channeling excitement. Duncan is a proud graduate of the prison training program in Burns Oregon and his trainers re-named him Duncan. Duncan is a sweet affectionate 13 pound smoothie with gorgeous build. He can get a little flash-tempered with aggressive dogs and will do best in a calm quiet home with a non-reactive dog buddy. He is doing very well in foster care with nice dogs of all sizes. Duncan will still revert to spinning when upset or frustrated or over-excited but he is doing this less and less as time goes by. He has good house manners walks fairly well on leash rides well in the car and has a good solid sit . He loves to get scratches from his people. This boy has a huge amount of love to give. Duncan is in foster care in Clatskanie Oregon. His adoption fee is 150.
