Griffie came to us because his family was moving and unable to take him with them. He is a Yorkshire Terrier. Yorkies as they are called are hardy characters full of fun and very much terriers at heart. They are full of spirit and yet have an even disposition. They are also alert with a sharp and intelligent expression. Griffie fulfils all the requirements of a typical Yorkie.Griffie is very people friendly. He likes belly rubs and will solicit them. He is food motivated so will be easy to train. He already knows sit high five spin down tug sit pretty beginning fetch and we are not sure what else. His adopters will have fun teaching him new tricks and trying to discover what else he knows. He also loves to take walks. A family with some experience with dogs would be best for Griffie. Children should be ten years old and should play with Griffie only under the supervision of an adult. Yorkies have long silky hair which will need daily brushing. The occasional visit to a groomer may also be in order.
