Meet Jessie at our July 30th Adoption Event at the Daly City PetSmart 315 Gellert Boulevard from noon to 2PM Our little Dachshund-mix Jessie is the perfect dog if you are looking for an active companion for hikes and exuberant games of fetch but also a loving loyal lap dog. Jessie is about 5 years old and weighs about 14 lbs and her super short fur is as soft as velvet. Jessie is so full of love and so wants a person of her own. She is a happy dog and is great at entertaining herself when her person is busy and loves playing with toys and chewing on a nylabone but she would also be fine in a home with another similar sized dog. Jessie is very smart. She already knows sit and is eager to learn more. She walks great on leash right by your side.Jessie only takes about an hour to get over her shyness and decide a new person is pretty great unless they are holding a chuck-it and then she will think they are awesome even faster As a companion to another dog the adopter would have to be patient until the dogs become friends it won t happen right away but she co-habitates with other dogs fine until she is ready to start playing with them. Not surprising for her breed Jessie is a bit of a talker especially when she is playing. Jessie would be fine with older dog-savvy kids.Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial medical and other costs in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs we must charge an adoption fee.
