Intake date 6 14 16 Availability Will be available after mouth surgery 7 21 update Here is an updated bio from his foster mom Juno is a sweetheart who is good with kids and dogs. Cats don t seem to bother him. He loves to play and roll around in the yard. Juno loves attention and loves to be loved on. He is submissive to other dogs and will turn the other way if a dog barks at him. He s just a love and would not attempt to hurt anyone or anything. He was a little distant when we first got him but he is a totally different dog now. Most days he eats well. Some days he s not that interested in food. He d make a great family pet or a good pet for someone who just wants a calm companion dog. Juno is probably around 7-8 years old and weighs about 65 lb. He is currently fostered in a home that has dogs and cats. 6 14 New arrival to ARTBAR because I just couldn t say no to a dog in such pitiful condition. Doc says an evulsion of the gum is what s wrong with his mouth. The gums have fallen forward and Doc says the jaw is deformed cause unknown. Body temperature is normal. 4DX negative. Doc put him on ear drops eye drops. Has hypothyroidism so put on levothyroixine. Apoquel for itching. Skin scrape negative. Heart good. Kidneys good. Wounds on face may be from trying to get through kennel fencing while in the pound. Has a hard time eating. Doc said he will likely have to rack up his skin that s hanging from his mouth. He is 60.8 lbs and skinny should weigh closer to 80. Won t walk on leash. Lays down when you try to pick him up. Doc says that s a behavior of an abused dog. Has callouses all over. Had DA2PPV on 6 1 16 while at the pound. I have to get an estimate for his mouth surgery when he s feeling better. We are one of several rescues in the southern portion of the state and are always interested in collaborating with other rescues in our area.
